The ending is just the beginning

I spent the majority of my work time over the last 3 years dedicated to one product. Sounds ridiculous when I have nothing to show for it for 2 years and 11 months of that time. But now the product is here, the development is done, but it’s just getting started.

Sometimes milestones are great because they are signifying the completion of a step, but often times that just means we’re moving on to the next step. This is why it can be difficult to celebrate wins. I thought I would have the biggest party ever once my product showed up on a pallet. The opposite happened, I went into work mode. No celebration, just getting towards the next milestone, launching the product. We’ll get to that in a moment.

The cycle of milestone to milestone without celebration inevitably will lead to burnout. Now I’m not suggesting taking a whole month or week off to live it up, but an hour, 30 minutes, even 5 minutes to celebrate can make a difference in burnout. Because if you look back, you can see how far you’ve come, but you may also just see work because those milestones can blur together. Take the time.

That said, after a small celebration, I got back to work on the launch, which the pre-order is coming up this Monday, August 17th. Super excited to debut the Hustle Focused Energy drink mix. I started working on this years ago as something I needed for myself, but it turns out others resonated with it as well.

Originally starting as a gummy bear type product, it went through numerous changes before finally landing on a drink mix. I probably tasted a hundred different samples and even went to production 4 times, but each time something went wrong in the process and we had to go back to the start. Fortunately I persisted and here we are about to launch!
